1.29 acres of salt marsh
in Barnstable Village
Grantor: Dorothy & Albert NOYES
Acquisition Date: June 3, 1996

After watching the marsh out their back window for years, in the summer of 1996, Albert and Dorothy Noyes decided to subdivide off the 1.29 acres of salt marsh at the back of their property and donate it to the Barnstable Land Trust. The gift is the BLT’s fifth along Maraspin Creek, and brings their holdings to over 14 acres in the area. The conservation of this section of marsh will help preserve the water quality of the beneficial habitat.
