One of Sally Sawyer’s last wishes was to see her land on Little Island in Osterville preserved. In the fall of 1996, Barnstable Land Trust acquired her half-interests on the two lots totaling 8.00 acres. The lots consist of upland and wetland habitat and sandwich BLT’s Leonard property. The preservation of the property will help maintain the water quality of West Bay and the surrounding wetlands.
