The Barnstable Land Trust Conservation Center

BLT has moved to 1540 Main Street, situated on 5.4 acres of land on Rt. 6A in West Barnstable. The property includes a large building with room for offices and meeting spaces, and offers a central location to implement our new focus on access and stewardship. The BLT Conservation Center allows us to provide creative, nature-based programming for everyone in the community.

Our Vision
The BLT Conservation Center will be a community hub, offering opportunities for all generations to connect with the land: hiking, cross-country skiing, beekeeping, gardening and shellfishing, for example. Our new home includes a meeting room that community members can use for workshops and events, as well as a central location for our many dedicated BLT volunteers to meet, get tools, report on site visits, and organize future projects. The site offers a trailhead for nature walks through neighboring sanctuaries, places for kids to get outside and connect with the nature, and amazing views of the Great Marsh, Sandy Neck and Cape Cod Bay.

We’re Nearly There
We have just $25,000 left to raise to purchase the building and surrounding land. Click here to donate and be part of the effort to create an exciting new chapter. Please contact the office at 508-771-2585 if you wish to secure naming rights. For more information about the Campaign for the Next Generation, click here.
