BLT’s 19th Annual Gifts from the Sea was a spectacular event. Nearly 250 people joined us under the big tent at Ropes Field to celebrate BLT’s 30th anniversary and 1000-acre LANDmark!
The combination of great weather (thank you, Mother Nature!), an extraordinary array of silent and live auction items, delectable foods, and the amazing support we received from the local community made it a stellar night. Nearly $105,000 was raised, helping BLT continue its efforts to preserve Barnstable’s critical open spaces and natural resources.
Special thanks go to the many people who so generously contributed to this year’s Fund-A-Cause, “Keep Lowell Park Green.” An additional $15,415 was raised to support our effort to protect the 19 acres surrounding the Cotuit Kettleers ball field.
Congratulations to this year’s lucky “Last person standing” Heads of Tails winner, Lillie Peterson. Congratulations as well to the winning raffle ticket holder, Steve Peters, who took home a wreath covered by Massachusetts lottery scratch tickets.
Gifts from the Sea is important, not just financially but also for the energy and enthusiasm it garners among donors and attendees for the work we do year-round.
