10-11:30 am
Mosswood Cemetery, Putnam Avenue & corner of Old Post Road, Cotuit

Dr. James Gould, Professor Emeritus, local historian, author and longtime Barnstable Land Trust member, will lead us on a spellbinding adventure through the eerily haunting atmosphere of Mosswood Cemetery. The permanent residents are famous and infamous wash-a-shores, doctors, lawyers, pirates, politicians, and sea captains and their families. Hear the woeful tale of the baby brought home here in a cask of rum from a whaling expedition and much more! Free.
