Dates: Thursday, Sept. 21 & Friday, Sept. 22, 2017
Times: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM both days
Location: Cape Wildlife Center, Barnstable, MA
Tuition: $225

If you enjoy being outside – hiking, kayaking, camping – and want to be prepared in the event of an emergency, this is the course for you! You will spend time practicing basic first aid skills and participating in realistic scenarios while learning essential safety topics including how to:

  • Properly assess the person who is ill or injured
  • Provide first aid for common outdoor injuries and illnesses
  • Manage environmental emergencies
  • Make appropriate evacuation decisions

The NOLS Wilderness Medicine course is approved by organizations such as the American Camp Association, the U.S. Coast Guard, and other state and federal agencies.

Upon successful course completion, you will earn the following NOLS Wilderness Medicine certifications: Wilderness First Aid, Epinephrine Auto-injector, and Adult and Child CPR & Airway Management on courses with the CPR module. College credits are also available.
