513 Main Street, Centerville

Centerville’s Main Street is a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places, and its 19th century character is remarkably intact. In conjunction with the Town of Barnstable’s 375th anniversary celebration, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Main Street on Saturday, August 30 with architect and preservationist Ralph Tolbert. Learn about some of the enterprising people who built and lived on Main Street and the rich architectural legacy they left in the village.

This is an easy walk with frequent stops on flat terrain, about two-thirds of a mile total, lasting about 90 minutes. The walk is sponsored by the Centerville Historical Museum.

Please call the BLT office at 508-771-2585 or e-mail to let us know you’ll attend. There is no charge for this walking tour.

Thanks to the Mid-Cape Cultural Council, a partner of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, for the grant supporting the Historical Walking Tours for the Town of Barnstable’s 375th Anniversary.
