William doe donates 1.87 acres in Barnstable

1.87 Acres in Barnstable – June 28, 2016

Doe propertyWilliam Doe donated nearly 2 acres of heavily wooded land, located in a densely populated neighborhood that is reliant on septic systems. The land abuts a portion of the Barnstable County Farm; southeast of the property lies an open area and Norman’s Pond.

A portion of the property is composed of wetlands. Groundwater from the wetlands flows north toward Maraspin Creek, which feeds Barnstable Harbor and the Sandy Neck/Great Marsh Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC), a focus area of BLT.
