2023 Tour de Barnstable Bike Ride Registration Now Open

Celebrating Barnstable Land Trust’s 40th Anniversary

Barnstable, MA – Registration for the Tour de Barnstable, a bike ride benefiting two local community nonprofits, is now open.  The 38-mile scenic ride through each of the 7 villages in the Town of Barnstable is scheduled for Sunday, June 4. An additional 2-mile loop will be available for riders who choose a 40-mile ride in honor of Barnstable Land Trust’s 40th Anniversary year.  The 8th annual ride is a joint venture between Sea Sports Cyclery and Outdoors of Hyannis and two local nonprofit partners, Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) and DEVO Cycling.

Riders who sign-up before March 18 will enjoy an early bird discounted registration fee of $85 and receive a custom event water bottle in addition to the standard benefits of one post-event meal, one drink ticket, and an event long sleeve shirt.  After March 18, the fee increases to $95 until June 2nd when registration closes. There will be no same-day registration.  Registration, event details and a map of the route, which follows backroads alongside several of Barnstable Land Trust’s conservation properties, is available at tourdebarnstable.com.  Riders also have the opportunity to fundraise additional funds for Barnstable Land Trust in celebration of the nonprofit’s 40th Anniversary.

“The Tour de Barnstable has become an annual Cape Cod tradition that hundreds of riders look forward to,” said Sea Sports Cyclery and Outdoor owner Jeff Craddock. “The opportunity to support local nonprofits like Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) and DEVO Cycling makes it even more of a community celebration that connects people to our natural environment.”

“Barnstable Land Trust is excited to be celebrating our 40th Anniversary this year with a series of special programs and events,” said Janet Milkman, BLT’s Executive Director. “The Tour de Barnstable is a great way for trail blazers of all kinds - including bikers, hikers, volunteers, and sponsors – to get involved with BLT’s milestone celebration.”

The Tour de Barnstable route starts and ends at Aselton Park in Hyannis and includes scenic views of both Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound, traveling through all seven villages in the Town of Barnstable.
