Dowses Beach Field Walk

Join Gil Newton and explore Dowses Beach with its series of interdependent mini habitats. Each one of these has its own unique assemblage of plants and animals. Starting with the sand dune system the participants will tour the sandy beach, rock jetty habitat, mud flat, salt marsh and salt pond. Along the way we will identify the different plants and animals and learn about their ecology. Dowses Beach is a dynamic barrier beach ecosystem with a wide diversity of marine life each with their own environmental stories.
