Nature Journaling Together

Henry David Thoreau wrote that “We can never have enough of Nature.” Explore the art of Nature Journaling with the Centerville Public Library and art educator Lenore Lyons. After a brief meeting inside, the group will share their work and then head outside for discussion and questions in this hands-on workshop for people of all ages. All supplies provided. Free/pre-registration required. This program is associated with BLT's Thoreau's Cape Cod Readathon, a 2-day live event sponsored by Rockland Trust to be held at Fuller Farm in Marstons Mills on October 7 & 8.

Twenty years ago or so, Lenore Lyons was looking for something to do outside that didn’t involve a ball or running around. She discovered Nature Journaling and has been documenting her life since then. She teaches journaling locally at the Cape Cod Art Museum.  Lenore is a retired art teacher and the former president of the Board of Directors of the Cape and Islands Art Educators. She developed The Key Idea, an interactive art project for folks 1-100+ and is featured in the book, I Am of Cape Cod, by Whelan and Rodriques.
