Kick off Earth Day and Words in the Wild 2023 with a free workshop led by writer and artist Deirdre Callanan. Deirdre is a 2023 Words in the Wild poet whose work can be enjoyed at BLT’s Coombs Bog property in Centerville. Deirdre will use engaging prompts to help participants freely express themselves and their appreciation for the natural world. Participants should bring a notebook and writing implement. Attendance is limited so all participants who wish to share their work will have time to do so. This program is part of the Barnstable Land Trust’s (BLT) “Words in the Wild” program, which posts poetry along BLT trails, and was made possible by grants from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and the Mid-Cape Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. There is no fee to participate, but registration is required.
