Celebrate National Trails Day at Mill Pond Preserve

Celebrate National Trails Day by exploring the scenic beauty of Mill Pond Preserve and nearby trails in Marstons Mills with BLT's Executive Director, Janet Milkman. Mill Pond—one of Cape Cod’s most photographed landscapes—traces its history to the 17th century, when a section of the Marstons Mills River was dammed to power a gristmill. Learn more about why Barnstable Land Trust is working to permanently protect these 13 acres of ecologically significant pond-front land. This easy to moderate one hour walk meanders through pine and oak forest and around old cranberry bogs on BLT, Town and water district lands. Pre-registration required to receive information on parking details.
