Join the Old Village Store, Barnstable Land Trust, Resilient Roots, and award-winning environmental journalist and West Barnstable resident Meera Subramanian for a talk about her new graphic novel, A Better World Is Possible: Global Youth Confront the Climate Crisis. John Green called "urgent, helpful, and hopeful." Done in collaboration with NYT-best-selling illustrator Danica Novgorodoff, the book follows the stories of four real-life youth activists who witnessed climate change up close in their young lives, transforming them into agents of change. Together, they helped organize one of the world's largest climate strikes and show the power of not just youth, but all of us. She’ll be in conversation with Katy Acheson of the Cape Cod Climate Leadership Council, and after the talk, Kristie Kapp of Resilient Roots will lead a hands-on workshop to make seed bombs so participants can leave armed to make the world a better place by spreading beauty and life.
