BLT Announces the 2026 Golden Pine Cone Award Winners

Lights! Camera! Action!

In the grand tradition of the Academy Awards, Barnstable Land Trust rolled out the green carpet (biodegradable, of course) for the Third Annual Golden Pine Cone Awards — where the stars are wild, the drama is natural, and the paparazzi are mostly squirrels.

From tree-mendous trailers to scene-stealing species, BLT honors the videos that help us branch out in categories like Best Leading Animal, Cast, and Musical Score — all building to a Best Picture winner that will leave you rooting for Nature.

So grab some sustainably harvested popcorn so you feel grounded while binge watching on  BLT’s YouTube channel @barnstablelandtrust - now featuring 99 videos and counting. Many are one minute or less — short, sweet, and pine-sized! And remember, when you “like” something, it helps us plant the seeds for conservation cinematography – for now and forever!
